Tony Morales – Director, Screenwriter, and Producer of Horror Films

Tony Morales is a Spanish film director, screenwriter, and producer specializing in horror and independent cinema. Born in Málaga, Spain, and originally from Alhaurín el Grande, he has established himself as a distinctive voice in genre filmmaking, recognized for his unique visual style, unsettling atmosphere, and psychologically driven storytelling.

In 2014, he made his directorial debut with the short film “Ku”, marking the beginning of his exploration of contemporary horror cinema. His second short film, “Hada”, screened at numerous international fantasy and horror film festivals, further establishing him as an emerging filmmaker with a strong and recognizable creative voice.

In 2017, he adapted the well-known Creepypasta “Black Eyed Child”, which celebrated its world premiere at Fantasporto before being officially selected by prestigious festivals including Screamfest and Sitges. The film reinforced his reputation for crafting emotionally impactful horror narratives.

In 2020, he premiered “Abracitos” at the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal, followed by its U.S. premiere at Fantastic Fest. The short went on to screen at numerous international genre festivals, further showcasing his ability to create tense, psychologically unsettling stories.

In 2023, he released “Alicia”, which had its world premiere at A Night of Horror International Film Festival and its U.S. premiere at HorrOrigins Film Festival. The film continued his successful presence on the international horror festival circuit and was praised for its suspenseful storytelling and atmospheric direction.

In 2024, he premiered “La Visitante”, which celebrated its world premiere at HorrOrigins Film Festival. The short further strengthened his position within the international horror community, continuing his exploration of atmospheric and character-driven horror.

Tony Morales has recently completed his feature film directorial debut, “Hada”, starring Esmeralda Pimentel, Liam Segú, and Lola Casamayor. The film is produced by El Eterno Pictures, Rock & Ruz, and A Bigger Boat, with its theatrical release scheduled for mid-2027.

He is internationally represented by Chris Sablan (Avenue 220) and Scott Henderson (CAA).
